Arango BSL Policy

Licensing: The software made available in this repository/package/distribution (the “Software”) is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (“BSL”), as published by MariaDB Corporation Ab. The full text of the BSL 1.1 is set out below and is incorporated into these terms.
Licensor: ArangoDB, Inc.
Licensed Work: ArangoDB Enterprise (Release Date: September 2026)
Additional Use Grant: Subject to your compliance with the terms herein, including this clause, you may make use of the Licensed Work, provided that you may not use the Licensed Work for a Production Use, unless you have a separate commercial agreement with Licensor authorizing such use. “Production Use” means use of the Licensed Work to provide a service or product to third parties, or any use supporting a live, customer-facing, or revenue-generating environment, or SaaS deployment or distribution purpose other than for the purposes of internal development, testing, evaluation, or non-commercial research.
Change Date: 4-year anniversary of the Release Date
Change License: Apache License, Version 2.0
On the Change Date, or the first business day after that date, for each version of the Licensed Work, the license granted under the BSL 1.1 for that version will convert automatically to the Change License specified above.

Third-Party and Open-Source Components
The Software may contain open source or community source software (“Open Source Software”) provided under separate license terms (the “Open Source License Terms”). Your use of the Open Source Software in conjunction with the Software in a manner consistent with the terms of this policy and the Business Source License is permitted; however, you may have broader rights under the applicable Open Source License Terms, and nothing in this policy or the BSL is intended to impose further restrictions on your use of the Open Source Software.
